Fleet Week, Blue Angels

this weekend was fleet week in SF, so of course we hopped in the car, took our bikes and tackled the hills of SF from our far away parking spot.

and i even wore my "naked pants" because in SF it is not illegal to be naked, so if anyone actually mistakened {not a real word} me for being naked, it would be ok.
yay for my naked pants!
{they are my naked pants because obviously, as shown below, they are orange and yes, i have mistaken for not having pants on}

anyways, fleet week is incredible! last year we were visiting SF this exact weekend and tried to do fleet week, but because of the foggy weather it got canceled. so we were super excited to finally see it, and it was really really loud but also really awesome. the planes fly in formations and are super close to each other and do swirls and ride low to the city. it was awesome!

we went with some friends, cody and meg, and cody LOVES fleet week! all of the normal people were sitting on the grass watching the planes go by and he was RUNNING all over trying to get the best view of them all. it really was pretty comical.

we had pizza for lunch and donuts from bob's. {bob's i highly recommend, pizza place- was like a grocery/greek store, so i don't even know how i feel about it still}

after the boys went to priesthood and megs and i did some shopping and then we all met up at jack's prime in san mateo for burgers and shakes.

as he was the only one willing to run all over for a good picture.

as observed above, i am always ready for a good picture.
also, i really need to work on my posture... cause megs really has it down

half moon bay

saturday was beach day!
our new fun friends cody and megs planned a beach day full of eating, surfing, lounging, sneaky hot tubbing, sitting by the fire, eating, walking the beach, and then driving home.
all in all it was a great day! and i'm pretty sure bevi the pup enjoyed it too.

obviously bevi loved the sand. we tied her to this big log and she was a digging machine. i think she thought she could dig her way out... poor thing. she was surprisingly good about being tied to the log though and just entertained herself digging holes and laying in them and eating weird seaweed things.

me and megs getting our tan on.

sexy wetsuits on...

wetsuit coming off...

it was so much fun! big thanks to cody and megs for inviting and planning everything! and yay to bevi for being so good and not cutting our day short.

before we moved, california wedding

{picture overload}
i'm going to back track... kind of a lot. because i feel like i skipped over the whole summer.
it wasn't my fault that my physiology class decided to ruin my last utah summer in ever single way possible!
i even had a chance to play croquet with thee jef holm {yes, from the bachelorette} and couldn't because i had to bomb a test the next day. LAME!

but there were a lot of fun times this summer.
yay for fun and boo for school!

so starting with the california wedding we went to!

it was so beautiful and perfect! the wedding had so much personality!
i had never been to the san diego temple and it was absolutely gorgeous! it looks like a castle!
becca and j.r. couldn't have looked happier on their special day.

after the ceremony they were STARVING and met us at board and brew for some lunch!
can you imagine eating lunch and in walking a bride...
i love them and am so happy for them!
love love love!

my favorite detail was maybe the biggest- her dress.
IT WAS PINK!

and then of course we had the wedding dinner, which was the night before.
but whatever, we are already way out of order cause this was like three months ago...
but it was super fun! we had banjo's playing, burgers, hot dogs, and hippo cookies!

we got a little bit jealous of all the attention on them...

puerto vallarta

puerto vallarta was our last stop on the cruise before heading back.
we were so sad to leave mexico, and wished our entire vacation was in mexico!
there were endless markets in puerto vallarta, so we strolled through them, made our way to old town.
found a beach, swam in the water, drank coconut juice, found a frozen yogurt joint, said NO to every salesman, found a fun restaurant and watched a show which none of us understood but were picked on because we were from utah!

happy boys with their coconuts!

cabo san lucas part 2

our second day in cabo was a dream. we got off the ship early and taxi'ed a boat to lover's beach.
this is a place where only lover's can go, so we fit in quite nicely!
we spent the morning there playing in the waves and snorkeling.
by the time we left, it was just getting crowded.
we had marlin tacos for lunch and shopped the markets.

brooke tried to convince jake that she NEEDED this beautiful embroidered fabric.
even though most of us were on brooke's side, jake held strong.

preggy emmy needed her gummy worms. so we got them from an outside candy cart, and then she decided that warm, melting, sun kissed gummy warms are not her favorite.

and of course we all got mexican coke! no diet on this trip!

cabo san lucas part 1

we loved cabo! it was so much fun!
there was so much energy there.
we were so excited to get off the boat and finally be in mexico!
we were a little too entertained by the party atmosphere of senor frogs...
if you know what i mean, then you know what i mean.

we ate lunch at a little restaurant near the coast, and were serenaded at a costly price.
$5 a song, we felt we should get a CD or something???
after meeting up with some friends at a beach house we borrowed their scooters and scooted all over town! we got marlin tacos and watched the huge waves crash on their private beach {what?}
all in all it was a great day on land!

cruisin on the ship

our first night on the ship was pretty exciting.
since i had never been on a cruise i was just loving it!
thought it was just about the neatest thing.

we timed everything perfectly and were some of the last to arrive. we waited in zero lines.
we also had jake with his new surgery leg which bumped us in front of everything!

we also discussed what we would do if we were to fall off the boat.
we decided that if one of us fell off, we would throw this floaty as far as we could to them so that they could get to it and stay floating,
and then once in the water, we would try to swim in the boats wake, so that when the rescue boats came they would find us right on the boats course! great plan right?
good thing we never had to execute it!

steph, brooke, emmy and me

and boys will be boys... can't take a serious picture can they?
jake, ben, josh and my jeff.

yes. ben and steph ordered every single dessert one night.
oh the booze cruise...
i think that i can speak for everyone when i say that the times spent off the ship were much better than spent on the ship. and the "booze" part of the cruise was most entertaining.
we loved all the singles ready to mingle!
and i can tell you that if you are lookin' for a good time... go on a cruise ;)
the luxury of never ending food was fun at first,
and then you remember that you are in a swimming suit all day. uh-oh.
and when the boat is rocking... things aren't so great.
a couple of us got a little sea sick. and most of us god food babies.
but i will never once complain about the never ending frozen yogurt. that was good.
