-problem. mr. monson, being all professional comes home from worky work and often times we talk about our future. which leads to possibly moving away, which leads to me at the end of our conversation googling real estate in other cities. this, my friends, is sort of a problem.

-so i'll let you now where i'll be living one day and then someone can buy me a house and let me and my mr. live in it!

-i went to the eye doctor and got my eyes dilated. i have never experienced this before. first time for everything right. you can only imagine my fear when all of the sudden i couldn't read and was holding my phone farther and farther away at the dr.'s office. this was definitely fun. i think my monday beats your monday.

-attempting to save time by showering with mr. monson. {don't worry i won't go into detail}. but our shower is teeny tiny. and this never saves time, and always results in bickering. cause of course he is a hot water hog...

-however i do recommend this is attempted by all. {now now, calm down. this is a family blog...} because it is very interesting to see what clever ways you come up with to try and share the water as much as possible. especially with the water pressure of a watering can... and let's be honest. we always have major laugh attacks in the shower, because we don't know what persuaded us into thinking that we could do this again and it would be different and save time, and we would both be warm and comfortable the entire time.

-so me and mr. monson LOVE wheat thins. like we really really love them! and i skim the bag for the ones with little burnt edges. i am a major picker. i do this with a lot of different foods. like i pick out the clusters of granola which this drives people crazy, but anyways... so the other night as we are munching on some wheat thins i had the brilliant idea to  bake some wheat thins a little more in the oven. and then i got impatient and decided to broil them. and i was very very pleased with the result! yum!

-i applied for graduation, this is kind of pretty huge and huge and majorly huge for me! go me! go graduation!

-i made mr monson a handmade valentine. yes, i am that darling of a  wife!

-as i am nannying my nephew, i find myself a little bit too involved in whatever tv show it may be; arthur, curious george, martha speaks, etc. this time it was a movie on tv. and it was the last half of it. the movie is called how to train your dragon. and i'll tell you that the last half of this movie was pretty darn good! and i was just eating it all up and loving every second.

-... the story continues. after a saturday night date with friends, we found ourselves at blockbuster. looking to rent something to finish our night off. as we walked around for a HALF HOUR, we weren't too pleased. i think we both knew what we really wanted. so wandered over to the kids and family section only to be SHUT DOWN because how to train your dragon was already checked out. we left empty handed.

-we saw a mini puppy husky today, and i am OBSESSED! cutest little ball of fluff around!

-dead serious, i told jeff if i don't pass one of my four VERY hard classes this semester, i'm calling it quits. and i'll just tell people i graduated. it's fiiiiine.

-my mom not understanding instagram. she doesn't know why people comment, or who their having a conversation with. she saw a picture of a pizza and a coke with the caption "kicking' it old school." and said it didn't make any sense. poor thing, just bring to keep up with technology. bless becky's heart. it's pure gold!

-while we were driving, jeff said no phones in the car, because then the conversation really dies down and i don't pay attention. so to get my attention he said, under his breath, "what the, monkey." and i truly said "where?" and jerked my head up and for a split second believed there was a monkey in front of our car.

-we have been competing with our below neighbors band in the morning by singing phantom of the opera. i think it's any day they'll be asking us to jam with them.

the other night we went to the jazz game, and it was a super close game. we cheered them on and still love them even though they lost. kobe is stupid. raja bell owns you.

-i wish growing your hair out was a skill. and i was really good at it, and that my hair was long. cause i would really put a lot of energy and effort into it. and everyone would see me and think "wow, she is really good at her hair."

-i also wish that i were rich rich rich.

-i want to do the 30 for 30 challenge. if you are unfamiliar with this, you pick out 30 total pieces of clothing, and only can wear those 30 pieces of clothing for 30 days straight. this includes pants, skirts, shirts, jackets, and i think even accessories. but then i think about it. and sadly, i already wear the same things over and over again. i could do this with 10 items, and no accessories. if you are in any of my classes at school and don't even know my name you could tell me my favorite pieces of clothing. {i have class at 7:30 am what do you expect?}. so the 30 for 30- it really wouldn't be a challenge but basically my every day life, every day fashion. but maybe i will do it and will pick things i never wear, that will be a challenge. who knows, i may surprise you and do it!

-we have a hot vacation planned!

-our apartment has been without heat since thanksgiving. we got it fixed last week... how bad do you feel for us?

-HELP, i need yummy delicious blendtec/fruit smoothie recipes that will make me smile and not gag.

-we had a snowstorm the other day and jeff and i spent a good 2 hours shoveling the walks. because we waited and waited for the snow to melt, and then it didn't. so by the time we got to it, peoples tramples had turned it into ice. and moby usually likes it when we throw snow at him, but that day he didn't like it.

-why are books $500? why do i pay for a parking pass and then have to use quarters for almost all my classes? why is tuition so much? why do i HAVE TO graduate? why am i not graduated yet? why do i have to take stats, math, and harder math? why is it so hard to drink water? why doesn't biotin work? why does food go bad? why is saving money hard?

-today i burned my hair. it was on fire. and it was sad. and it was SO NOT WORTH THE CLEAN TOILET {i love candles and have one in my bathroom for obvious reasons, and it was lit, to take away clorox smell}. all in all it's a sad story.

-my brother will, wrote in his final paper "they put their blood, sweat, and tears..." never ok. i spent 2 hours basically rewriting it. love ya will, but you owe me major. and you cannot write.

-i found out the hard way that the sweet abandoned kitty at our apartment has a home. false, a family once owned it and now doesn't want it. i feel like i can still have it. i was in the rescue process when i was shut-down. yes, i was doing all of this behind jeff's back.

-now i am obsessed with rescuing a kitty. dear petsmart, petco and humane society, we will see you soon.

-when you are potty-ing on one of those automatic flushers and for some reason the toilet thinks you are done and flushes on you. i hate this. you hate this. we all hate this. normal flushers aren't that bad, just use your feet, its sanitary.

-going to hawaii, getting a call from your landlady to inform you that something in your apartment is flooding to your downstairs neighbors. oops. to then find out your water heater is broken and then dies and needs to be replaced. problems solved right? no. come home from hawaii and your furnace is not working do you have to sleep at your parents house until they fix it that night. problems solved right? no. after all this trouble- no water pressure. oh apartment living, you are lovely. welcome home to us!

our weekend

this weekend we went to a fiesta birthday party for a one year old! and now i am thinking about all the great and wonderful birthdays that baby one year old has to look forward to! so many! i enjoy my birthdays in the fact that get surprises! but i don't really like my age increasing. it is not as fun. but baby one year old has lots of great fun birthdays coming his way! jealous is what i am.

-my new iPhone game that i have learned about and that i LOVE LOVE LOVE! it is called 7 little words, and i cannot stop playing it. it is brain twistering me. get the game you fellow iPhoners, you will be pleased, and those of you that don't have an iPhone, get one. it's pretty coo.

-i hate having to go to group meetings at the library that literally last for ten minutes. especially when we are in class and can just stay in our class a little bit longer rather than walking ALL the way to the library. it's like we aren't supposed to study or group meet ANYWHERE else. lame. i don't like how all the sudden in my senior year of college i am going to the library all the time. i literally have been to the library 4 times, 2 being this year.

-super helpful tip!!!!! At the U, if late to class and don't have the time to wait for a spot to open up, try to park in a recently vacant meter spot. Cause usually {unless it's me} there's still money on the meter. Last couple times I have more than half my class paid for! :)

-sometimes I just stare at the peanut butter jar and want some soooooooooo bad. But I know if I open it up. It will not be put away for a very long time!

-i may or may not have stole someone's parking spot at the U. it was all very confusing. my blinker was on, his wasn't. i did turn the corner before he did. and i even waited a second before pulling in, in case he thought it was his. but he may have done a hand gesture and crusty at e while i walked by WITH MY HEAD HELD HIGH. i even rehearsed what i would have said if he tried me "your blinker wasn't on. a blinker basically covets the spot. and i coveted it first. if you needed it as bad as i did you would have stolen it from me." i called jeff right after and he said i was totally justified.

-when jeff told me my eyes looked green. I've never been more offended in all my life. MY EYES ARE BLUE!

-this picture above, the one with our hard core gym faces, is what you wear to the gym when you choose not to wear your wedding rings. so that everyone knows you are obviously together and off limits. But it still doesn't work very well for me.. hee hee.

-I may or may not have fed Moby blueberries... I had just gotten out of the shower and couldn't go in front of the window to his food {we were at a hotel remember. correction motel}.

-Bloggers act like they eat candy and junk food 24/7! Then they take a picture of lunch or their groceries. Nothing but fruits and veggies- LIARS.

-Sorry that I'm WAY way way more excited for Kim Kardashian's wedding than the royal wedding. Really though, who isn't?

-So my brother basically has some pretty sweet hook-ups and is definitely taking advantage of them in Coronado. He sent me a picture making me jealous. So I texted him back "your a wiener." yeah that text wasn't to just me. But my entire family and some friends. Oops.

-one big adjustment. this summer i was able to blab blab to jeff about whoever i wanted too- not scared of anyone over hearing me and having it be... oh i dunno their cousin or something {only people in utah will understand that}. also i could go to the high school run the track, stairs, and then do girl push-ups and crunches and not feel stupid. definitely not an option in SL. yeah, i'm self-conscious.

-i'm not some HUGE JB fan. but i might have had a dream about him, and lamar odom was his dad, i was at a jazz game in a wedding dress {and i changed into the wedding dress at the jazz game...}, JB pointed to me in his song during the half-time show, and i told best friend eliza that if Justin Bieber liked me i had to go for it right? WHAT? WHO AM I?!

-I'm sorry room service, or maybe your welcome... For not letting you clean our room. I just don't want to clean it first {hide things}. I am scared of your employees... We know that one of you got fired last week for stealing.

-I recently discovered what a 'golden birthday' is and was sad that I had mine just last year and didn't even know it- and then when I told the honey about it. all i got was... "some people have theirs when their 2." HA ha ha- thanks honey.

-Thinking about my favorite comment at lunch today from my sis-in-law about seeing a fat person eating the same thing that you are eating... and thinking "Oh no, I'm eating fat people food."

-The University of Utah needs to STOP stop stop re-vamping their webpage. They need students, I want to be a student. If I can't figure out how to navigate my way around the website, especially registering for classes then we have a problem. And I'm probably not the only one. So right now we have a problem. Let's create a win win situation here.

-The honey, I'm sorry I've wanted to watch Shark Week and nothing else. Especially ESPN.

-I may or may not have tried on all my old prom dresses when I visited home. Don't worry I won't tell you about it. But I was looking gooooooooood.

-At lunch I was getting a refill and a little boy, like 5, decided to figure out my story. This was fun.
Little boy: what are you doing here?
Me: I'm eating lunch.
Little boy: where?
Me: right there {pointing to the honey}
Little boy: with your daddy? {honey laughs and spits out drink and starts coughing}.
Me: um no, I'm married to him.
Little boy: where's your son?
Me: I don't have one yet.
Little boy: oh {totally confused and doesn't understand how I don't have a son and continued to speak jibberish where I continued to say "oh really?" over and over.}
